LOGISTICS BRIEFS:

Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS Company LLC), an Orlando, Fla., pallet rental service providing all-plastic pallets with embedded RFID (radio frequency identification) tags, said Carlos Gutierrez, former chairman and CEO of the Kellogg Company and former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, joins the iGPS board of directors.

National temperature-controlled freight transporter H&M Bay Inc., Federalsburg, Md., said it promoted Walt Messick III to chief operations officer. Messick joined the company in 2006 as operations manager.
