Ready for more bacon? Industry supplier Bell Flavors & Fragrances predicts bacon will be the most popular savory flavor this year.

Bell, Northbrook, Ill., says it developed its forecast by (1) tracking requested samples during the past 12 months (2) using its marketing and R&D departments (across four continents) to scout trends and (3) compiling flavor trend data from external suppliers and credible researchers.
