LOGISTICS BRIEFS

Convenience store retailer 7-Eleven Inc., Dallas, said it hired Jesus H. Delgado-Jenkins as senior vice president of merchandising and logistics. Officials said Delgado-Jenkins has more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors Most recently, Delgado-Jenkins was president and CEO of JNI, LLC, a convenience store-acquisition firm. Prior to that, he held the position of chief financial officer and deputy chief operating officer for the U.S. Treasury Department. He also served as a vice president at Dominick’s Finer Foods.

For the fourth consecutive year, Inc. magazine has named Preferred Freezer Services, Elizabeth, N.J., as one of the nation's top 5,000 fastest growing private companies. To be considered, a private company must demonstrate exceptional growth for a period of at least three years, officials said. Preferred Freezer Services ranked No. 2,704 on the list with three-year sales growth of 85 percent. Officials cited Preferred's steady growth of public refrigerated warehousing -- now totaling 27 sites -- throughout the United States and Asia.
