It's a private label product -- for public consumption. Fleischer's Bagels Inc., Macedon, N.Y., introduced its Blue Rooster bagel sandwich during the Private Label Manufacturers Association's fall convention near Chicago.

Five new Blue Rooster varieties are:

- Ham, egg and cheese on a plain bagel
- Sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagel
- Egg and cheese on a plain bagel
- Sausage, egg and cheese on a French Toast bagel
- Sausage on a French Toast bagel

"Developing tis delicious new bagel sandwich line was a natural extension of our traditional bagel programs," says President Robert Drago. "Our retail and foodservice customers have been looking for a high quality, high value alternative to nationally branded breakfast sandwich programs and our new Blue Rooster line delivers on both."

Blue Rooster sandwiches come individually wrapped and in 24-count bulk packs to meet a variety of retail or foodservice applications. Moreover, Fleischer's offers private label or branded options.
