Grocery retailer and wholesalerSUPERVALU Inc., Minneapolis, said it expects by December 31, 2010, to sell its third-party services business, Total Logistic Control(TLC), in a stock purchase agreement toRyder Integrated LogisticsInc., the supply chain division of Ryder System Inc. TLC, Holland, Mich., provides multi-temp logistics and supply chain management solutions to food, beverage and consumer packaged goods companies. Ryder said it will retain TLC's management and personnel led by Pete Westermann, president and CEO, and will continue to serve clients without disruption.

“TLC has been a strong and growing part of our supply chain services organization,” said Janel Haugarth, SUPERVALU executive vice president and president and COO, Supply Chain Services. “Today’s announced acquisition of TLC by Ryder positions TLC to become part of a company that will take them to the next level of expansion and growth in their field of expertise servicing CPG companies. SUPERVALU will continue to focus its efforts on becoming 'America’s Neighborhood Grocer' and providing supply chain expertise and services to our independent and owned stores.”

Boboli International LLCsaid it will ship its specialty frozen pastry products exclusively onPECO Palletsto U.S. retailers and participating foodservice distributors. Boboli bakes and markets sweet and savory frozen baked goods, including frozen cream puffs, éclairs, pastry assortments and specialty breads. PECO Pallet, Yonkers, N.Y., will be the sole pallet rental company providing shipping platforms to the company's headquarters in Stockton, California.

Kingspan Insulated Panels North America, Deland, Fla., promotedSteve Mauroto national sales director for the company’s cold storage division in the United States. Officials said Mauro is responsible for the growth of Kingspan’s position and product offering in the U.S. cold storage market and will report to Fergal Murphy, vice president of sales. Mauro joined Kingspan in 2009 and served as regional sales manager prior to his recent promotion. A member of the Construction Specifications Institute, Mauro holds construction documents technology certification and is active in the Building Enclosure Council.

Topco Associates LLC, Skokie, Ill., said it hiredRobin Vogelas senior vice president, Center Store Procurement. Officials said Vogel will manage Topco’s Center Store Procurement and Logistics departments. She will also oversee Topco’s global direct sourcing program. Vogel previously was vice president of procurement operations for Sara Lee Corp. Prior to that, she was Sara Lee's director of supply management.  Topco provides procurement, quality assurance, packaging, and other services for supermarket retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice companies.
