Food Services of America acquired Yancey’s Food Service.

Food Services of America (FSA), Scottsdale, Ariz., acquired Yancey’s Food Service, based in Loveland, Colo.

Yancey’s Food Service is the 37th largest food distribution company in America. Just like FSA, it is a privately held, family-owned business. Started by C.R. Yancey in 1940, the operation is run by Greg Yancey, C.R.’s grandson. Today, the family tradition continues with C.R.’s great-granddaughter and great-grandson representing the fourth generation of Yancey’s, working to provide customers with superior service and products.

With a service territory covering Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico, Yancey’s complements FSA’s service areas throughout the rest of the west, says Doug Minert, president and CEO of FSA.

The FSA/Yancey combination will provide customers everything needed for a successful operation.
