Capable of cutting whole sandwich wraps and similar products into equal segments at any angle from 0° (square) to 45° regardless of product length, the Grote ultrasonic wrap cutter features an ultrasonic frequency generator and titanium blade. The cutting blade oscillates at 20 kHz to create high-frequency sound vibrations for a nearly friction-free surface between the knife and wrap. The single-lane cutter has cutting mode and cut dimensions that are selectable through an interface mounted in the operator control panel. Products of suitable shapes and sizes can be manually placed onto and removed from the unit or conveyed and transferred directly through it. Nominal production rates of up to 33 wraps per minute are achievable for single-cut products, depending on wrap length and diameter.
