Seattle-based Cucina Fresca Gourmet Foods updated its retail packaging for all of its refrigerated pasta offerings.
The new packaging includes a retail tray format to improve footprint by using less plastic by weight and increase shelf life by upwards of 20%.
Cucina Fresca also forged strategic partnerships with Co-op Partners , Saint Paul, Minn., as well as Jane Fine Foods in British Columbia and US Foods, Rosemont, Ill. Notably, the company experienced a 62% sales growth over the past five years and attributes a notable portion of its success to a focus on expanding specialty distributors serving the natural and gourmet foods markets.
