Chobani, New Berlin, N.Y., introduces an assortment of new product innovations set to hit store shelves beginning of 2013.
"Our goal at Chobani is to continue building upon the limitless possibilities of Greek yogurt and create innovative products specifically designed for usage occasions," says John Heath, vice president of new ventures and innovation. "Using consumer insights, we look across the pleasure spectrum—flavors, textures, taste combinations and packaging formats—to bring new excitement and enjoyment to our deliciously simple, authentic yogurt."
Chobani Bite—A perfectly portioned snack that contains 8 grams of protein for each 3.5-ounce cup of blended non-fat and low-fat Greek yogurt. They come in Fig with Orange Zest, Caramel with Pineapple, Coffee with Dark Chocolate Chips and Raspberry with Dark Chocolate Chips varieties. The suggested retail price is $2.99 for a 4-pack.
Chobani Champions Tubes—No spoon required for this low-fat Greek yogurt blended with real fruit in grab-and-go tubes. Each tube provides little champs with a good source of vitamin D and protein. They come in Jammin' Strawberry, Chillin' Cherry, Rockin' Blueberry and Swirlin' Strawberry Banana flavors with a suggested retail price of $2.79 for an 8-pack.
Chobani Flip—Authentic Greek-strained yogurt paired with crunchy mix-ins let you flip and create your perfect mix. Just flip the lid and add the mix-ins. Available in easy-to-grab, 5.3-ounce cups, consumers can choose from Vanilla Golden Crunch (non-fat vanilla yogurt with cornflakes, honey oats and pecans), Key Lime Crumble (low-fat Key Lime yogurt with graham crumble and white chocolate), Strawberry Sunrise (non-fat strawberry yogurt with honey oats), Honey Beenana (low-fat honey yogurt with banana), Almond Coco Loco (low-fat coconut yogurt with dark chocolate and sliced toasted almonds) and Raspberry Choco Fix (low-fat vanilla chocolate chip yogurt with raspberries). They boast a suggested retail price of $1.39, and are only sold in the Northeast.
Plus, Chobani debuted new flavors in 6-ounce cups— Pear (creamy, non-fat yogurt flavored with subtly sweet chunks of real pear) and Banana (low-fat yogurt featuring real pieces of ripe banana). Both flavors feature a suggested retail price of $1.29.
