Organic Hand-Held Frozen Meals

March 15, 2013

EVOL Foods, Boulder, Colo.-based maker of made-from-scratch natural and organic frozen meals and snacks, expanded its product line to include two new hand-EVOL chicken burritosheld items.

Plus Burritos with Guacamole takes the frozen burrito experience to the next level. These all-natural burritos come with a guacamole packet inside for a premium eating experience. While the burrito is being warmed, the frozen guacamole packet can be defrosted by simply soaking it in a glass of water. PLUS is available in Gluten Free Chicken, Steak Fajita, Chicken Fajita and Veggie Fajita varieties.

Dairy-free Gluten Free Burritos are made with whole grain gluten-free tortillas that hold up in the freezer and microwave for the most premium eating experience. Available in Chicken, Shredded Beef and Chicken Plus options, these dairy-free burritos are stuffed with an authentic tomato and roasted corn salsa and premium spices.

EVOL also improved the nutritional profile of the Classic Burrito line by decreasing the size of these burritos from 8- to 6-ounce portions, thus decreasing the average calories per burrito by 21% and reducing sodium by 40%. The Classic Burrito will also now have a lower price point with a suggested retail price of $2.49-$2.99 for a 7-ounce burrito.

"We're very excited about the introduction of these new products and the re-launch of our Classic Burrito product line," says Phil Anson, founder and COO. "We believe our increased focus on organic ingredients and enhanced nutritional label is well aligned with what consumers want in their food as well as EVOL's mission, vision and values."
