Food Marketing Institute (FMI), Arlington, Va.
Susan Krys was named vice president of industry events, responsible for growing FMI’s annual FMI Connect event organically and through strategic co-location partnerships and recruiting and managing the relationship with co-location partners. Krys will draw from her previous efforts to proactively collaborate on researching, planning, coordinating and directing all attendance-building and promotion efforts. As a long-term goal, Krys will help to evolve the exhibit and tradeshow component of FMI Connect year over year. Krys was senior director of expo, promotions and industry events at the American College of Cardiology, where she orchestrated industry participation for a meeting of 13,000 professional cardiovascular professionals and industry leaders.

The International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration, Alexandria, Va.
Eric Smith was promoted to vice president and technical director, representing IIAR’s technical expertise and its members at an executive-level, both within the United States, at events and on domestic committees. Smith will also act as IIAR’s technical liaison to organizations representing the industrial refrigeration industry. Smith will continue to lead IIAR’s technical initiatives and standards writing processes with a new focus on executing IIAR’s long-term technical goals and expanding the international reach of the organization’s relationships and strategic partnerships.

2 Sisters Food Group, United Kingdom
Dame Lucy Neville-Rolfe was appointed non-executive director, effective Sept. 1. Dame Lucy served on the board of Tesco PLC as executive director of corporate and legal affairs.

China Marine Food Group Ltd., China
Marco Ku, chief financial officer for the distributor of frozen marine catch, announced his resignation for personal reasons, effective Oct. 30.

Kraft Foods Group, Northfield, Ill.
Teri List-Stoll joined as senior vice president of finance, succeeding Timothy McLevish as chief financial officer in the first quarter of 2014. List-Stoll has a wealth of consumer packaged goods experience, having worked for nearly 20 years at Procter & Gamble. Since 1994, she has held a number of finance leadership roles in business unit management, supply chain, sales, accounting and financial planning and analysis. List-Stoll will initially oversee Kraft's business unit finance teams.

High Liner Foods Inc., Canada
Chief financial officer Kelly Nelson will be retiring after 30 years of service. Nelson will continue to perform his duties as CFO until after his successor has been named and transitioned into the CFO role. The company expects this will occur during the first half of 2014.

Ginger Beef Corp., Canada
Michael Poon, chief financial officer, passed away in mid-August. In the wake of his passing, the company named James Leung, one of the company’s three founding brothers, as CFO and secretary. The company, which is traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange, subsequently applied to the Alberta Securities Commission for approval of a temporary management cease trade order, which would prohibit trading in securities of the corporation by Leung and his brother, Stanley Leung, who is chief executive officer.

Ready Pac Foods, Inc., Irwindale, Calif.
Barbara Moreno was hired as new marketing director, salad, snacking and vegetables, responsible for leading the marketing activities for the packaged salad, snacking and cut vegetable product segments. She will also be leading cross-functional teams in the development and launch of innovative new product concepts. Moreno brings more than 20 years of food marketing and sales experience in consumer packaged goods, both domestic and international.

Bar-S Foods Co., Phoenix, Ari.
Manuel Rivera was promoted to division vice president, marketing, responsible for growing and managing awareness of all Bar-S Foods brands. David Norman was promoted to division vice president, national accounts. Previously, Norman was director of Walmart, where he developed the brand in the packaged meat case. Tae Park joined as new division vice president of information technology. He maintains more than 20 years of IT experience, including support, infrastructure, development, business process management, ERP and project management in the food and beverage industry. Meanwhile, Leslie Pellillo resigned as vice president of marketing. And, Ed Miller, superintendent of the Lawton, Okla., facility, announced his retirement. Miller spent 42 years in the meat industry, including time with Oscar Mayer and Sara Lee.

Cargill, Minneapolis
David MacLennan, currently Cargill's president and COO, was elected the next chief executive officer, effective Dec. 1, succeeding Gregory Page, who will serve as executive chairman. MacLennan will retain the title of president and continue as a director of the company. The transition is the result of the company's ongoing succession planning with the board. MacLennan joined Cargill in 1991, and has held various leadership positions within the financial, risk management, energy and animal protein businesses in the United States, London and Geneva. Page will continue to lead the board and represent the company in a variety of interactions and public forums with customers, policymakers and others, and will be available as a resource to the company. Additionally, Emery Koenig was elected vice chairman and will continue to serve as Cargill's chief risk officer. Since joining Cargill in 1978, Koenig has worked in a variety of commodity trading and risk management roles in the United States and Switzerland. Paul Conway will continue as a vice chairman.

OSI Group, LLC, Aurora, Ill.
Michael Irgang joined as vice president and chief accounting officer, effective Sept. 9. Irgang has been employed by McDonald’s Corp. for the past 20 years where he most recently held the position of senior director, financial risk management and concurrently served as treasurer of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

MOD Pizza, Seattle
John Dikos joined as vice president, strategic partnerships, responsible for accelerating the company’s growth into key markets across the United States with franchise partners. Dikos comes to MOD Pizza from Qdoba Mexican Grill, where he most recently served as director of franchise development.

SUPPLIERS:

Millwood, Inc., Vienna, Ohio
Craig Gretter was appointed chief financial officer. Gretter joined Millwood in early 2013 after 10 years as a corporate and securities attorney and then as an investment banker. He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy, accounting operations, strategic planning and information systems. Tom Paskert was named senior corporate financial advisor, responsible for overseeing the financial management of Millwood’s ancillary businesses and properties. He will also represent the company at economic forums and business summits and work closely in an advisory role with Gretter.

Kingspan Insulated Panels, Deland, Fla.
Kevin Franz was appointed business development manager, responsible for promoting Kingspan’s dedication to “reducing energy waste by optimizing the building envelope” to the building market. With more than 20 years of experience in the architectural profession as project manager, client liaison and practicing architect, Franz is also responsible for growing Kingspan’s market share in Charlotte N.C., Raleigh N.C., Columbia S.C., Charleston S.C., Atlanta, and Nashville, Tenn.

Florida East Coast Railway, Jacksonville, Fla.
William Costantini was appointed vice president and chief transportation officer, effective Sept. 16, responsible for the FEC rail transportation network and terminal operations. Costantini spent the last three as the military assistant to the assistant commandant of the Marine Corps in Washington, D.C.

ATMI, Inc., Danbury, Conn.
Deputy chief legal officer Patrick Shima will assume the role of senior vice president and chief legal officer. Since joining ATMI in 2007, Shima has had the opportunity to offer counsel on many critical ATMI business transactions. He will now provide oversight to and be responsible for leading the company's entire legal function.

South Florida Logistics Services, Coral Gables, Fla.
Robert Richter was appointed vice president of business development, responsible for generating new business opportunities and marketing the company’s full suite of logistics services and real estate offerings. Richter maintains nearly a decade of international commercial real estate development and brokerage experience.
