RESEALABLE CLOSURE FOR HEAVIER BAGS

APLIX expanded its EASY-LOCK by APLIX product line with Aplix 971, a new resealable closure for heavier bags. This hook-to-hook technology allows consumers to easily reseal their package without the need for precise alignment, enabling use by shoppers with limited dexterity. Comprised of self-mating micro-hooks, the closure track is far more resistant to particles from the contents of the package. EASY-LOCK by APLIX is made of food-grade polyethylene.

PEELABLE LIDDING FILM FOR READY MEALS

HH Global launched Lidd, a patented peelable lidding film solution for ready meals. This solution is said to save 10-20% on cost and over 45% on packaging weight for retailers and leading food brands. Developed in conjunction with Parkside Flexibles (Europe) Ltd., Lidd utilizes a 2-layer laminated film construction to seal the product and display the usual printed marketing information. Lidd can be used in any environment—ambient/chilled or frozen—on plastic, aluminium or paper/plastic tray combinations.
