RED ROBIN ENTERS RETAIL FREEZERCASES

The Valen Group, the Cincinnati-based owner of the Red Robinbrand, extended its signature Bottomless Steak Friesinto the retail grocery via a strategic license with ConAgra Foods, Omaha, Neb. Available in the freezercase, these steak fries boast a suggested retail price of $3.19 for a 22-ounce bag.

MEATBALL, SAUSAGE SLICES STRAIGHT FROM THE FREEZER

Johnsonville Sausage, Sheboygan Falls, Wis., brought fully cooked and skillet-ready meatballs and sausage slices to freezers nationwide. Made with premium cuts of fresh pork and unique blends of herbs and spices, these meatballs and sausage slices are available in Classic Italian Meatballs, Homestyle Meatballs, Three Cheese Meatballs, Mild Italian Sausage Slices and Hot & Spicy Sausage Slices. The meatballs come packaged in a 24-ounce re-sealable zipper bag, 28 meatballs to a package, and the sausage slices come in a 22-ounce package. Both boast a suggested retail price of $7.99.

SQUASH WITH SEASONING PACKET

Baloian Farms, Fresno, Calif., introduced what is said to be the first value-added yellow and green squash. Each individually wrapped tray includes three fresh whole squash, a mix of yellow and green, and a seasoning blend packet, available in Parmesan and Herb and Garlic and Red Pepper flavors. When preparing the product, consumers simply rinse and slice the squash, toss with oil and the seasoning packet and sauté over heat for five minutes. Each 8-count tray boasts a suggested retail price of $3.99.
