Frozen foods manufacturer Windsor Foods, Houston, Texas, announced plans to close its Tulsa, Okla., plant in September, cutting about 70 jobs.

“As part of a strategic initiative to build on its competitiveness and market leadership, Windsor Foods has made the difficult but necessary business decision to close the Tulsa, Okla., production facility. The closure will allow the company to consolidate business operations and focus on core markets,” says Lynn Hall, senior vice president. “Production at the Tulsa plant will end in mid-to late-September, and we will be working with our employees in the coming weeks on severance and benefit plans and outplacement services. Windsor Foods will also be hosting a job fair for its employees in August and has secured participation from several interested employers in the Tulsa area.”
