Profile Industrial Packaging, a Walker, Mich.-based manufacturer of polyethylene film and bags, announced plans to expand and relocate its manufacturing operations to a 200,000-square-foot facility in Avastar Park on Alpine Avenue in Walker, Mich.

The move to the new facility, which is double the size of its current site in Wyoming, Mich., is necessary to keep Profile on pace with its continued growth, says Steve Ehmann, president and founder.

“We are excited about the potential to grow our business, and the Walker site is ideal for us now and with great flexibility into the future,” Ehmann adds. “It’s a perfect fit for Profile with all of the unique features we require for our processing—high ceilings, big power and rail support.”

Over the next five years, Profile will invest more than $26 million in new equipment and building improvements to its new location. Profile, which expects to double its sales revenues by 2019, plans to create approximately 50 new positions, increasing its workforce from 80 to approximately 130 employees.
