Patrick Cudahy, LLC announced plans to break ground on a new bacon slicing and packaging facility that will be an essential addition to its manufacturing headquarters in Cudahy, Wis. The year-long construction process is set to start later this fall and be completed in time for a grand opening in November 2015.

The $12.1 million, 16,500-square-foot facility will incorporate state-of-the-art technology set to modernize the slicing and packaging processes of its production lines for retail, deli and foodservice products.  

"We are excited be making such a large investment into the future of Patrick Cudahy," says Bill Otis, president. "Everything we do in the development of our production facility is to further the growth of our brand, and this will be a huge step. Though it will not add additional jobs, our goal is that the technology implemented in this new facility will benefit both our employees and the people who purchase Patrick Cudahy [products]."
