noax Technologies Corp., Charlotte, N.C., introduced NSetup, a tool that allows users to configure their industrial PCs according to their specific requirements. noax nSetup

NSetup can be used to generate configuration reports on the current status of the computer, and provides system administrators with an overview of the customizable hardware settings.

In combination with a microcontroller (MCU), NSetup software gives administrators the option to configure numerous parameters to company needs, such as uninterrupted power supply, power functions, PCIe configuration, settings for touch and backlight control, deactivation of front USB port or program special function keys.

The MCU and NSetup also monitor important system functions thus increasing the operational stability of the noax hardware. NSetup can be used to set various functions of the industrial PCs that are controlled by the MCU. Plus, the microcontroller determines if an active parameter is outside of its specified limits, which is indicated by flashing LEDs on the front of the control panel.

In addition, NSetup creates a comprehensive report containing information on the current functional state of the computer. System administrators can quickly recognize where adjustments need to be made to fully optimize the noax IPC, and customers can send a report file to the noax hotline to be analyzed and modified to meet necessary settings. The customer can then transfer the new report file to their IPC for an immediate customized configuration.
