The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) is said to be the world’s largest annual meat, poultry and feed industry event of its kind, and this year, it’s expected to bring together more than 1,200 exhibitors, over 28,000 attendees and span more than 456,000 net square feet of exhibit space at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta Jan. 26-28.

IPPE is a conglomerate of the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY), Tucker, Ga.; American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), Arlington, Va.; and the North American Meat Institute (NAMI), Washington, D.C.

IPPE 2016 will display technology, equipment, supplies and services used in the production and processing of eggs, meat and poultry and those involved in feed manufacturing.

Educational programs. The International Poultry Scientific Forum, sponsored by the Southern Poultry Science Society, the Southern Conference on Avian Diseases and USPOULTRY, presents information on industry topics such as environmental management, nutrition, physiology, pathology, processing and avian diseases.

The Market Intelligence Forum, sponsored by USPOULTRY and the National Poultry & Food Distributors Association (NFPDA), will identify key issues facing the industry and provide understanding into how domestic and international poultry industries are positioned to move forward in 2016. The program will consist of a leading economist, a policy advocate and an industry performance analyst.

Calling all young leaders. The “30 Under 30” Young Leaders Program recognizes young professionals for their professional leadership qualities and targets young leaders who may not attend the show otherwise.

College student careers. The College Student Career Program connects hundreds of talented college students seeking professions in the poultry industry with human resource managers and recruiters. This program has been a vital part of many companies’ hiring process for more than 40 years, and is said to be one of the largest career events of its kind for students seeking professions in the industry. Whether seeking full-time jobs or internship opportunities, the College Student Career Program is a 3-day event where employers can meet, interact and interview qualified college students.
