Vital Farms, Anaheim, Calif., introduced new grass-fed, pasture-raised Alfresco butter.

“Vital Farms’ mission is to bring ethically and sustainably produced food to the table through agricultural practices that keep the humane treatment of animals as the top priority,” says Matt O’Hayer, chief executive officer.

Alfresco is hand-crafted by fifth-generation butter makers that slow churn and hand craft the cream, producing a butter that is high in butterfat and hormone and antibiotic free. The cows that produce the cream for Vital’s pasture-raised butter are raised in small herds on American family farms.
