SDP/SI – Stock Drive Products/Sterling Instrument, a New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based provider of mechatronic-based design, engineering and manufacturing services for critical motion control applications, will be moving to a new world-class engineering and manufacturing facility later this year.

Construction is underway in the new state-of-the-art facility designed to improve processes, efficiencies and lead times for the production of precision gears, machined parts and sub-assemblies.

“While working from three separate locations has been productive for us, the consolidation of the entire organization into one facility will greatly streamline and improve workflow, resulting in greater benefits for our customers,” says Robert Kufner, president and CEO.

The new 96,000-square-foot facility is located in Hicksville, N.Y., 10 miles east from the current place of business, with ample room for growth. The company’s brands, Designatronics, Inc., QTC Metric Gears and Quality Bearings & Components, will be sharing the new location.

“In preparation for the move, we are advising our customers to review their component needs for the year and to adjust delivery dates if possible,” says Joe Yanosik, North and Latin Americas sales manager. “Through careful planning and monitoring, we hope to minimize any disruption our customers may experience.”

The move will occur in stages and be operational Dec. 1.
