Red’s All Natural, Franklin, Tenn., opened the doors to its first manufacturing facility in North Sioux City, S.D. Over the next few weeks, all of Red’s products — natural and organic frozen burritos, burrito bowls, enchiladas and taquitos — will be produced exclusively at this state-of-the-art plant, giving Red’s best-in-class quality and increased speed-to-market for new innovation. The plant includes an R&D kitchen that chefs will use to develop new natural food ideas that will then move into production. The facility also gives Red’s the ability to expand capacity as the business grows.

“We have always valued quality above all else, and couldn’t be happier to have total control over our own production, so we can deliver an amazing food experience,” says Mike Adair, founder and CEO. “When I started Red’s, I wanted to bring natural, wholesome and delicious flavors to the frozen food aisle, and deliver on the promise of having ‘the best burrito, period.’ Having our own facility is not only the natural progression of our company’s trajectory, [but] it’s also critical to ensure that every Red’s product we put on freezer shelves has the very best ingredients, tastes amazing and is made with great care.”

Red’s chose North Sioux City for its access to superior ingredient sourcing, food manufacturing-savvy workforce and because it’s a centralized U.S. location ideally suited for shipping Red’s products to customers nationwide. Red’s expects the new facility to create over 40 new jobs.
