It’s soup so good that Blount Fine Foods, Fall River, Mass., decided to put its own name on the label. Primarily a supplier of fresh and frozen seafood products to the foodservice and club store channels only, Blount used the recent Boston Seafood Show to unveil a retail line of frozen Blount brand soups in three varieties: New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque and Shrimp & Corn Chowder. The soups come in 20-ounce reusable cups and will be available in the main freezercases or frozen seafood sections throughout New England and the East Coast, as well as nationwide via club stores. Suggested retail will be $5.99 to $6.99.
