EXECS ON THE MOVE
Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., South Burlington, Vt., named Jostein Solheim as chief executive officer and vice president of global brand development. A 19-year veteran with Ben & Jerry's Anglo-Dutch parent, Unilever PLC, Solheim has 14 years experience in Unilever's global ice cream business and has served since 2007 in ice cream marketing at Unilever United States, Englewood Cliffs, N.J. He succeeds Walt Freese, who resigned.
Blount Fine Foods, a Fall River, Mass., processor of soups, chowders, salads, dips and spreads, said it formed a Retail Specialty Group to better penetrate the retail deli market. The company said it promoted Kristin Lawrenson to head the group and Estelle Goulart to lead sales in the field. Media also reported that Blount promoted Daniel Cote to research and development chef.
