Seaboard Corporation, Shawnee Mission, Kan., said it appointedTerry J. Holtonas president and chief executive officer of Seaboard's pork business,Seaboard Foods LLC.  Holton most recently was senior vice president of sales and marketing. He succeedsRod K. Brenneman, who was named president and chief executive officer ofButterball, LLClast September.

Officials said has more than 30 years of pork industry experience, is a 17-year veteran of Seaboard Foods and "has been instrumental in leading the company" from a start-up operation in the mid-1990s to a leading integrated food company producing and selling premium pork products throughout the United States and the world.

Steve Bresky is Seaboard Corp.'s president and chief executive officer.

Holton joined Seaboard Foods in 1994 as vice president of processor sales before the company’s Guymon, Okla., pork processing plant opened. .His responsibilities expanded to oversight of international, retail and foodservice sales and marketing.

Seaboard also announced a series of related personnel appointments. It namedGary Louisas Seaboard Foods' executive vice president, responsible for live operations and business services. Louis previously was vice president of integrated business strategies. Seaboard also promotedDuke Sandto senior vice president of sales and marketing. Sand previously served as the vice president of international sales.
