Several large food processors joined together to launch FReSH (Food Reform for Sustainability and Health), a program under the leadership of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Geneva, and the EAT Foundation (EAT), Oslo, Norway.

Chicago-based International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) and Kinetic12, a Chicago-based food industry management consulting firm, joined forces to establish and develop what is said to be the first ever best practices for foodservice supply chain optimization.
There is one area that’s an exception to the FSMA key requirements. That specific area covers exporters who ship food through the United States not intended to enter distribution within the United States.
