Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (G&W), Darien, Conn., and its subsidiary, GWI UK Acquisition Co. Ltd., entered into an agreement with a subsidiary of APM Terminals (a subsidiary of A P Møller-Maersk A/S) to purchase Pentalver Transport Ltd.
IAS serves providers of global transportation, focusing on first- and last-mile landside movement for logistics service providers, motor carriers, ocean carriers, railroads and equipment lessors.

The American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA), Alexandria, Va., asked its U.S. member ports how much they and their private-sector partners plan to spend on port-related freight and passenger infrastructure over the next five years. The answer was a whopping $154.8 billion.
Come to the U.S. Capitol for one of AAPA’s two premiere annual meetings. New trends in the maritime industry of relevance to all Western Hemisphere ports will be highlighted. In addition, sessions on April 6th will primarily focus on US policy issues.
