California Dairies has broken ground on a 220,000-square-foot milk processing facility in Kern County, California, near Bakersfield. The plant will be built on 30 acres of land and feature ultra-high temperature (UHT) and extended shelf-life (ESL) milk processing. The facility is expected to create approximately 100 new jobs when fully operational in 2023.
Nestlé broke ground today on the construction of a new factory in Batang, Indonesia. The factory will create about 200 new jobs in the Central Java province and will produce Bear Brand liquid milk and ready-to-drink beverages, Milo and Nescafé, to fulfill growing consumer demand. It will be built on nearly 50 acres of land and will encourage the further development of the dairy sector in the region.
