Perdue Farms awards $2,500 to Women Supporting Women in Maryland
Money will go toward meal-delivery program for breast cancer survivors.
Perdue Farms, through its Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, has awarded a $2,500 grant to Women Supporting Women (WSW) to support its new Meal Prep and Delivery Program.
“This new program will deliver nutritious pre-prepared meals to breast cancer survivors living in the Lower Shore’s three counties,” says Cindy Feist, Women Supporting Women executive director. “We will qualify 20 survivors who are undergoing radiation and chemotherapy and they will each receive six prepared meals once a week for two weeks, delivered to their homes. Delivery is scheduled when convenient for the survivor, especially when they are going to treatments. Each survivor will also receive one $30 gift card to Food Lion stores.”
