Packaging equipment supplier Kliklok-Woodman, Decatur, Ga., said its flagship endload cartoner, the CELOX, earned one of the packaging industry’s most coveted awards: the StarPack Gold Award for “packaging machinery of excellence.”
Kliklok officials accepted the honor during the 50th Anniversary StarPack Awards Ceremony at the 2009 PPMA (Processing and Packaging Machinery Association) show in Birmingham, U.K.
Kliklok said StarPack judges consider a number of award criteria including flexibility, reliability, speed and improved efficiency, as well as contributing to a more sustainable production environment.
Bill Crist is Kliklok's chief executive officer.
“With its rapid carton size change ability, easy access, user-friendly operation using advanced touch screen technology – plus the option to run end load cartons and five-crease sleeves on the same machine – the Celox provides the flexibility and versatility so essential in a demanding production environment,” he says.
“In addition, Kliklok’s patented rotary carton feeder is the fastest and most positive in the industry,” Crist adds. “The straight-pick motion minimizes deflection, thereby reducing wear on suction cups and allowing use of aged or economy carton stocks, thus contributing towards sustainability.” – Kliklok-Woodman
