Bar Harbor Seafood’s Expansion Includes Freezers, Docks, Lobster Float Tanks
Bar Harbor Seafood, Orlando, Fla., completed an 18,000-square-foot expansion to its existing 21,000-square-foot seafood facility. Constructed by Orlando, Fla.-based design-build contractor H. J. High Construction, the expansion includes the latest in cold storage design and was completed in six months. Plus, the additional room for storage and the increased operational efficiencies in product handling will add 10 jobs in receiving and warehousing.
“This expansion helps us meet the growing needs of our customers with a larger product inventory, quicker loading and distribution and new inventory management systems,” says Jeff Hazell, founder and president. “Coupled with H. J. High Construction’s expertise in food distribution and cold storage facilities, we were able to create a first-class facility.”
