Dot Foods, Inc., Mt. Sterling, Ill., selected Dyersburg, Tenn., as the site of the company’s ninth distribution center. Construction of this new $24 million facility will begin this fall in the Dyersburg Industrial Park on State Highway 211. Twenty-five-year Dot Foods veteran Tim Loyd as the new facility’s general manager.
The distribution center is scheduled to open in September 2014, with a temporary office opening in September 2013. The 166,494-square-foot facility will include frozen, refrigerated and ambient storage; a 125,000-square-foot warehouse; and a 9,500-square-foot truck and tractor garage. It will service Dot Foods distributor customers in middle and western Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and western Kentucky.
