ContainerPort Moves to New Facility in Indianapolis
ContainerPort Group (CPG), Cleveland, Ohio, moved to a larger and more centrally located facility in Indianapolis, Ind., near Interstates 65, 70 and 465. The new facility is well positioned to service the CSX rail ramp and the newly opened Indiana Rail Road Co.’s intermodal rail ramp, which is operated by CPG and serviced by the Canadian National Railway Co.
CPG’s increased acreage will enhance the operation’s terminal throughput and provide its customers with additional container yard and loaded trailer storage options. The expansion complements the company’s existing Midwest and Ohio Valley network, which is comprised of Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Louisville, St. Louis, Chicago and Detroit. In addition to CPG’s container drayage capabilities with its dedicated fleet of drivers, CPG Indianapolis offers its customers traditional container yard inspection service, equipment storage, a full‐service repair shop and mobile on‐site repair capability with mechanics providing best‐of‐class chassis and container repair and maintenance services.
