Traceability Guideline in Place for Leveraging GS1 Global Standards
The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association, Madison, Wis.; the International Dairy Foods Association, Washington, D.C.; and GS1 US, Lawrenceville, N.J., implemented a new guideline for leveraging GS1 global standards for traceability processes in the dairy, deli and bakery supply chain.
The guide, available at www.gs1us.org/DDBTraceabilityGuide, was developed with input from industry stakeholders to provide best practice recommendations to help dairy, deli and bakery manufacturers, exporters, wholesalers, suppliers, distributors, retailers, foodservice operators and service providers improve product traceability processes by leveraging GS1 standards.
