The organization elected officers and appointed chairs to its 2013-2014 board of directors. Heather Sheehan, vice president, indirect sourcing and logistics for Danaher Corp., was elected to the office of chair. At Danaher, she has global responsibility for non-production and logistics procurement, strategy and implementation across the company’s 45 operating companies. Her career experience spans more than 25 years in the manufacturing and transportation industries. Rick Jackson, executive vice president of Mast Global Logistics, Inc., a subsidiary of Limited Brands, Inc., was named to the office of immediate past chair. He provides strategic direction and leadership for international and domestic logistics, transportation, distribution center operations and supply chain technical services. Theodore (Ted) Stank, Bruce chair of logistics and supply chain management at The University of Tennessee, was elected board chair elect. Stank assumed the Bruce chair following nearly six years in administration as department head for marketing and logistics, associate dean for academic programs and associate dean of the Center for Executive Education. Kevin Smith, president and CEO of Sustainable Supply Chain Consulting, was elected board vice chair. Previously, he served as senior vice president and corporate sustainability officer for CVS Caremark, where he was responsible for developing and implementing an environmental sustainability program for the entire enterprise. Mary Long, vice president logistics and network planning of Domino's Pizza, LLC, was elected secretary and treasurer. Her teams include engineering, manufacturing, supply chain systems and transportation that drive top- and bottom-line results. Mark Baxa, director, global trade operations for Monsanto, was named roundtable chair; John Bowersox, director of operations for Ann Sacks Tile & Stone, was appointed young professionals' chair; Brian Hancock, president, North America, Martin-Brower Co., was named member at large chair (corporate member focus); Remko van Hoek, director global procurement for PwC, was appointed member at large (European focus); and Daniel Stanton, supply chain professional at Caterpillar, Inc., was named member at large (member lifecycle). Chris Moberg, chair marketing department at Ohio University, was named certification chair; Walter Zinn, chair of the marketing and logistics department at Ohio State University, was named research strategies chair; and Kevin O'Meara, senior vice president, breakthrough fuel, was appointed program chair. Rick Blasgen serves as president and CEO.
