Heat and Control, Hayward, Calif., reduced the length—but not the performance—of its latest breading applicator. Two feet shorter than standard models, the SureCoat Breading Applicator handles everything from flour to crumb coatings.
Currently operating at a plant producing formed and whole muscle poultry products, the new SureCoat delivers about 7,000 pounds per hour. Its reduced length enables the plant to add another pass to its coating line, giving it new capabilities to run products that require a greater pick-up of coatings.
Standard features include a lifter conveyor that adjusts the bottom breading bed density between firm and fluffy for different product applications. Automatic belt tensioning increases conveyor belt life. Interchangeable top hoppers and large clean-outs permit fast changeovers between free-flowing and non free-flowing coatings.
