Crown Equipment Corp., New Bremen, Ohio, added three new features to its Crown SC 5200 Series of sit-down counterbalanced forklifts, including faster travel speeds for the 48-volt AC systems, optional fingertip and joystick hydraulic control options that optimize operator comfort and performance and an optional 2-stage lift mast that delivers flexibility in multiple demanding applications.
The Crown SC 5200 was introduced in 2011 as what was dubbed the shortest 3,000-pound-capacity truck in the industry, enabling operators to gain flexibility maneuvering within tight work spaces such as 10-foot aisles. The 3-wheel design of the SC 5200 Series makes it an ideal forklift for dock, transportation or racking applications. Forklifts in the series support load capacities ranging from 3,000-4,000, pounds depending on the model.
