Divelbiss Corp., Fredericktown, Ohio, introduced the HEC-Gateway controller, a harsh environment-enhanced communications controller with minimal I/O, capable of translating between various industrial bus protocols and cloud communications with the Divelbiss VersaCloud M2M platform.

Programmed using the Divelbiss EZ Ladder Toolkit in ladder diagram, function block and structured text and based on P-Series PLC on a Chip technology, the HEC-Gateway provides maximum flexibility when translating between different serial bus protocols, data logging or adding Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity to existing systems.
