The new warehouse will feature 13 bays for trucks, compared to the four doors available at the Lakeville plant, and is expected to be completed in October.
Clover Stornetta Farms announced plans to expand its Petaluma, Calif., headquarters and dairy processing facility, with the addition of four 50,000-gallon silos and a 65,000-square-foot cold storage and distribution facility.
The addition of the new tanks, which is projected to be completed in September, will increase the capacity at the Lakeville facility by 50% to 600,000 gallons, adding to the amount of liquid milk the facility can take in and making it easier to take silos offline for cleaning without significantly impacting day-to-day operations.
