Hobart introduced the Hobart EDGE 13 slicer, a 13-inch, medium-duty slicer ideal for foodservice professionals. The EDGE 13 slicer is built for operations requiring less than 4 hours of slicing per day. A 1/2-H.P. knife drive-motor ensures both cheese and meat slicing without shredding. Additional features include a 45-degree-angle gravity-feed product table for less mechanical pressure; 1-piece anodized aluminum base for easier cleaning and improved sanitation; no-volt interlock release in the event of power failure; removable carriage system for complete cleaning and sanitation; removable ceramic knife-sharpener; permanently mounted ring guard that protects the knife during operation and cleaning; and rear-mounted meat grip with contoured handle that secures oversized loaves.
