Vinamilk, Tetra Pak build advanced liquid dairy plant
Known as the Vietnam Milk Factory, this $110 million facility produces an annual capacity of 400 million liters of milk in the first phase.
Tetra Pak, Vernon Hills, Ill., partnered with Vinamilk, a Vietnam-based dairy processor, to build what is dubbed as the world’s most advanced liquid dairy plant in automation and integration in Vietnam.
Known as the Vietnam Milk Factory, this $110 million facility, which covers 20 hectares in Binh Duong Province, produces an annual capacity of 400 million liters of milk in the first phase. Advanced technologies include Tetra Pak’s A3/speed filling machines, Tetra Pak’s A1 filling machines and a complete lineup of iLine XT solutions with 14 laser guided vehicles with iWMS, i.e., intermediate warehouse management software and the TetraPlantMaster system, which enables Vinamilk to have entire control of the plant from incoming raw materials to the processed, packaged and palletized products.
