Butterball Foodservice’s new clipless packaging increases food safety
Butterball is said to be the first turkey processor to invest in the new packaging equipment.
Butterball Foodservice, Garner, N.C., introduced new packaging technology from the Cryovac division of Sealed Air Corp, Charlotte, N.C., for its 5- and 10-pound sizes of ground turkey. This new clipless packaging makes it easier and safer for operators to store, handle and cook ground turkey.
Butterball is said to be the first turkey processor to invest in the new packaging equipment. The new film doesn’t require any clips, so there’s no chance of them getting misplaced and inadvertently ending up in food.
