In-rack freezing system delivers faster freeze times for OH-based 3PL
Data from the Ti test demonstrated that the QF+ In-Rack Freezing System allowed Mattingly to reach their desired freezing and tempering goals and increase product turn rates.
Mattingly Cold Storage, Zanesville, Ohio, commissioned Tippmann Innovation (Ti), Fort Wayne, Ind., to conduct freezing and tempering tests with Ti’s patented QF+ In-Rack Freezing System. The purpose of the tests was to evaluate freezing and tempering times against traditional blast freezing and tempering methods. Faced with the challenge of a 72-hour freeze time for pork, Mattingly hoped to reach temperatures of 0°F in 48 hours or less while operating a -10°F freezer.
Data from the Ti test demonstrated that the QF+ In-Rack Freezing System allowed Mattingly to reach their desired freezing and tempering goals and increase product turn rates. As a result, Mattingly added QF+ to its Zanesville facility.
