Arcadia Cold last week celebrated the ribbon cutting of its Charleston, South Carolina, cold storage facility.  

Cold storage demand in Charleston is fueled by the bustling Port of Charleston and the region's prominence as a leader in agriculture and food processing.

At 262,000 square feet, the Charleston facility is fully racked with over 34,000 pallet positions for customers seeking a capable cold storage partner in the region with specialized port-related services.

Arcadia's facility will be located in Ridgeville, boasting convenient proximity to Interstates 26 and 95 for convenient transportation access to and from the port as well as interior U.S. destinations.

With ranges from –10 degrees Fahrenheit to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, the site provides flexible storage solutions for both frozen and refrigerated products as well as value-added blast freezing, USDA inspection and bonded storage services.

The Charleston Cold Storage facility is expected to generate approximately 75 new jobs in the community.
