Selig Group Introduces Lift ‘n’ Peel Lite, Using 20% Less Material

The original Lift ‘n’ Peel liner rose to popularity thanks to its reliable performance and easy-to-use pull tab. Over time, it has become the preferred induction liner for food, beverage, household, personal care and chemical brands.
Selig Group, the global leader in container sealing and venting technology, has launched Lift ‘n’ Peel Lite – a slimmer, lighter-weight version of the company’s iconic Lift ‘n’ Peel liner. This innovative solution reduces material usage by up to 20%, offering consumer brands a more cost-effective, more sustainable option without sacrificing the sealing performance or easy-to-open experience consumers expect.
The original Lift ‘n’ Peel liner rose to popularity thanks to its reliable performance and easy-to-use pull tab. Over time, it has become the preferred induction liner for food, beverage, household, personal care and chemical brands.
In response to increasing demand for sustainable packaging, Selig’s R&D team sought to evolve the Lift ‘n’ Peel design and construction. The result is a liner with a 50% thinner aluminum foil layer and a 20% thinner foam backing. The new liner is fully compatible with existing production lines with minor adjustments to induction settings.
“Lift ‘n’ Peel Lite contains substantially less aluminum foil and polyethylene foam without sacrificing sealing performance or consumer convenience. It is an excellent choice for brands looking for ways to reduce the amount of packaging in their products as they strive to achieve sustainability goals,” said David Griffin, VP, global sales and products at Selig Group.
