Polar King International, the industry leader in walk-in refrigerator and freezer coolers, has restructured its parts and service operations.

The move brings team members from Polar King, Polar Leasing Company and Thermodyne Foodservice Products together under one unified service and parts group.  

The expanded organizational structure will enable increased cross-training, additional backup coverage and faster response times, enhancing service consistency across all Polar King brands. Additionally, the restructure ensures comprehensive service for multiple parts of a kitchen, from Polar King walk-in refrigerated and freezer units to Thermodyne’s innovative cooking equipment.  

Polar King Director of Engineering and Refrigeration Kevin Wilson says, “By bringing the service and parts team members from Polar King, Polar Leasing and Thermodyne together under one group, we are creating a stronger, more collaborative team to better support our customers.” 

Max Tippmann will manage the expanded service and parts team, transitioning from his role as leader of the refrigeration department. 

Polar King offers American-made walk-in cold storage solutions, available for purchase, lease, and mobile applications. Every unit is all-electric and features a 100% fiberglass construction, which prevents exterior rust, corrosion, and inconsistent temperatures – issues commonly experienced with metal panel boxes. Polar King walk-ins are NSF and ISO certified, and ground-resting units are City of Houston and Miami-Dade County approved, verifying they’re built to withstand the harshest environments. The introduction of the Polar King outdoor walk-in freezer into the food service industry resulted from three generations of walk-in refrigeration technology and experience. Polar King’s fiberglass, one-piece walk-in cooler is the natural evolution of the walk-in cold storage industry from the conventional metal panel constructed unit. In early 1982, Polar King began operations by constructing and shipping walk-ins from a modest 12,000 sq. ft. facility in New Haven, Indiana. As demand grew for outdoor fiberglass commercial walk-in coolers and commercial walk-in freezers, production was moved to a 251,200 sq. ft. facility located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
