The expansion of the rail served Providence facility will enhance its capacity to serve over 15 million consumers in nearby metropolitan hubs, support existing customers in and around the Quonset Business Park and attract larger tenants.

March 10, 2026

Cold-Link Logistics, one of the 10 largest privately-held cold storage platforms in North America, today announced a major expansion and upgrade of Cold-Link Logistics Providence, a tri-temperature cold storage facility in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

The investment will add 65,000 square feet of freezer space, doubling space for Cold Link to meet surging regional demand.

Once the expansion is complete, it will span a total of 129,000 square feet, adding 13,500 frozen pallet positions, more than tripling total onsite capacity to 18,000 pallet positions.

The expansion of the rail served Providence facility will enhance its capacity to serve over 15 million consumers in nearby metropolitan hubs, support existing customers in and around the Quonset Business Park and attract larger tenants.

“This expansion underscores our confidence in Cold Link Logistics’ ability to capture growing demand for high quality cold storage driven by evolving supply chain needs,” said Michael Mandich, president and managing partner of Cold-Link. “The Providence facility plays a critical role in our Northeastern network, serving a diverse range of customers. By nearly doubling capacity and upgrading our infrastructure, we are positioning Cold Link to deliver reliable and industry leading services well into the future.”

The expansion is expected to be finished in the first quarter 2027.
