TheLufkin (Texas) Daily Newsreported thatPilgrim's Pride Corp., Pittsburg, Texas, will eliminate 450 of 1,650 positions at its Nacoghoches, Texas, plant. Company Spokesman Ray Atkinson told the paper the plant will temporarily shut down three of its seven prepared food lines. Meanwhile, the operation will continue fresh product processing, packaging, de-boning and portioning activities.
