Nice Blends Corp., a processor of frozen sweet potato fries, fried chicken breading and salt-and-pepper packets, expects by August to move from Bronx, N.Y., to Whiteville, N.C. The company purchased a 57,000-sq.-ft. building and will invest another $2.5 million in operational upgrades, reported the Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer. Nice Blends President Barrie Nadi said the North Carolina area "is home to many high-quality sweet potato growers and its proximity to Interstate 95 provides excellent access to our customers along the East Coast."
