The Schwan Food Company, Marshall, Minn., saidPatrick Bowejoined the company’s board of directors.

Officials said Bowe has nearly 30 years of experience in the food industry, spending the last 25 years with Cargill, Inc. He is currently a corporate vice president with Cargill and leads its multibillion-dollar food-ingredients business.

“Mr. Bowe’s passion for the food business and his broad experience within the industry will make him a trusted adviser as The Schwan Food Company pursues its growth strategy,” said Allan Schuman, Schwan chairman.  “Mr. Bowe has built a solid reputation of achieving results and doing so with the highest level of integrity.”

Bowe earned a master’s degree in economics from the Food Research Institute in Palo Alto, Calif., and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Stanford University in Palo Alto.

In addition to serving on Schwan’s board of directors, Bowe also serves on the board of Fabcon Inc., a privately held company that produces structural fabricated concrete wall panels; and as a director on the board of Global Bio-Chem Technology Group, a publicly listed company.
