LOGISTICS BRIEFS

Eugene Freezing & Storage, Eugene, Ore., said it has united its Eugene and Albany, Ore., warehouses under the same new name: SnoTemp Cold Storage. SnoTemp also said it completed a 100,000-square-foot addition at its Albany facility (see photo, left), bringing that site to 375,000 square feet with available storage from -18F to +60F.

SnoTemp serves processors in the dairy, poultry, beef, fruit, vegetable and seafood markets.

"This facility was built on the hard work and success of our customer base," says General Manager Jason Lafferty. "We are providing these companies with a cold chain infrastructure that will allow them to continue to be competitive in the marketplace."

Pioneer Cold Storage, Chicopee, Mass., reportedly hired Ron Bomm as director of sales and marketing. Pioneer said Bomm has experience with Campbell Soup, ConAgra Foods, and The Schwan Food Co.
